Gentlemen. Are you tired of cloth dress gloves that are slippery and stretch out of shape? Check these out.
www.leatherglovesonline.com/page...0.htm
I sing with the carolers, and got tired of having to remove my cloth gloves in order to turn pages. I got a pair of these in gray, and they are GREAT! Be warned - they are also not cheap.
They have a discontinued item like these in limited stock for $55, but only in gray, and only in small sizes.
There is also a dressier pair with a mother-of-pearl button for $112.00 which comes in white.
Ladies, they have a whole line of dress gloves for you too.
Best of all, they are located in San Francisco, so your order will be there in 2 days.

Wed, November 12, 2008 - 10:49 PMIt seems that you can't get to the page for the discontinued gloves using the link on the other page. Here is the page with the sale gloves:

Re: Lambskin dress gloves - Gentlemen, you know you want them.
Fri, November 21, 2008 - 1:05 PMAnother option for gloves would be Dorothy Gaspar Gloves - she's located in the garment/fabric district of LA. Her prices aren't the cheapest, but they're not the most expensive, either. Link to her site: www.gaspargloves.com/
I have several pairs made by her several years ago that have stood the test of time. Plus, she will do custom work for those who have difficulty with "off the rack" gloves (I do... wide hands for a woman with long, narrow fingers). -

Fri, November 21, 2008 - 1:09 PMAs a word of advice from a veteran (28 years) Dickens performer: don't bring anything to the Fair that you won't be heartbroken to lose. Because it's got to suck when you spend over $100 on gloves and lose one. Because you will. -
