Looks like vests are coming back into fashion and some of the modern vests could be easily converted by safety pinning or sewing up the points to make a flat front.
Macy's had some men's vests on sale for under $30. Of course you wouldn't want any with designer logos on them, but some of the others looked promising. For those on the lookout for Dickens wear, keep an eye out for the fall sales.

A pattern and fabric don't cost all that much either. -

Sun, November 22, 2009 - 2:53 PMI tried Simplicity 8910, the christmas caroler pattern, with great success. it has a shawl collar and is cut straight in the front. Very simple pattern. :D
