Before steel cage hoop skirts were invented in 1857 ladies wore a
horsehair or corded petticoat under their other petticoats to help hold
out their skirts. Barbara Muran is putting on a corded petticoat class
in Sacramento on May 4th, 2008. The cost is $50 and will be held in her
community's Club House, which is a wonderful venue. Contact Barb at
