Tue, November 13, 2007 - 9:10 AMCan't you have them resoled? It's amazing what a good shoemaker can do.

Re: Halp!
Tue, November 13, 2007 - 3:19 PMI would, perhaps, if I weren't already rather poorish. These days, I'm expected to pay my own way for a lot more than I used to, even though I do still live with my father . . . part of the whole "becoming an adult" gig, I guess. Until I can find myself a job, I'm going to be very nearly broke for a while yet.
Maybe some other year . . . -

Re: Halp!
Tue, November 13, 2007 - 4:40 PMWell, resoling is much cheaper than getting new shoes, the last time I did it in the California it was about $25. If worse came to worse you could buy some shoe goo and try to repair it yourself. Ah, well that is the cheapest thing I can think to do, it's better to repair a good fitting pair of boots than get a new pair. You can always check the Goodwill in the men and boy's section. A ladies 8 is a boy/man's size 6. They are also wider, some styles of men's short trouser boots look like boots from the 19th century.
Good luck,
Theresa
